Hello everyone,

The decision that I am talking about is the one that I made today after a few weeks of contemplation.  I am dropping out of the shows that I had planned on doing this year.  As the diet went on, I noticed that I would simply not be much different, if any at all than what I was the last time that I was on stage.  I cannot justify putting myself through another contest prep at this time just to get a trophy.  I believe that I have what it takes to place top 3 in my weight class and possibly even win my class, but I do not feel that I have what it takes to win the overall.  My goal is not to simply collect as much hardware as I can.  My goal is to win my pro card and have people everywhere talking about how I am the future of Natural Bodybuilding!  I cannot see myself making any progress this year towards my goal by competing this year.

So, with that said, I will not waste any time jumping right into my offseason.  I am going to focus on bringing up my triceps, hamstrings, and imbalances on my left and right side.  I plan on starting out with doing my hams and triceps twice a week; one hard workout and another simple workout with a few sets to stimulate growth.  I am going to be doing FST-7 training on one of those days of the week for those two body parts.  I am also going to be using FST-7 for my left bicep and left shoulder to bring those two up to par with my right side.  I will be chewing all of my food on the left side of my mouth as well…:)

Thank you,

David Hardy, LG Sciences Sponsored Athlete

    David,
Sounds like a good decision.  You are young and have a lot growing (mass wise) to do.  Good luck and keep updating this blog with your progress.  Maybe start cycling the powerlifts and follow with hypertrophy movements?  Or just stick with what you are doing currently and add the calories and time.

I love lifting the heavy power movement first in my routine, but sometimes I like to do them last due to my joints hurting.  When I do them last, I can’t handle as much weight, but it is still very effective.  I was thinking about doing a powerlifting meet or two.  I love to compete, so I have to do something lol.
